Chhattisgarh govt to buy cow dung from farmers to make vermicompost
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday lauched his government's Godhan Nyay Yojana. Under this scheme, Chhattisgarh will become the first state to purchase cow dung from the farmers. Baghel said that this scheme will provide an additional revenue stream for the farmers. He further added that the government will purchase the cow dung at a pre determined price and use it to manufacture vermicompost which will be used as a fertiliser.
