Chandrayaan-3 approved; 4 astronauts chosen for Gaganyaan: ISRO
Indian Space Research Organisation chief K Sivan today announced that India’s third lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3 is on and has been approved by the government. K Sivan said that the Chandrayaan-3’s configuration will be similar to that of its predecessor, the Chandrayaan-2. This means that the Chandrayaan-3 will also have a lander and a rover with a propulsion module. He told that the Narendra Modi government had approved the project. On the other hand, K Sivan also said that preparations for the Gaganyaan mission are going on simultaneously with the Chandrayaan-3 mission. Four astronauts has been chosen for Gaganyaan project. They were trained in Russia.
