Breaking News: Surat Building Collapse Takes Away 7 Lives, Rescue Operation Underway | ABP News

An accident took place in Sachin Pali village of Surat on Saturday (6th July). Here a six-storey building collapsed, due to which many people were trapped under the debris. Fire and police teams reached the spot and conducted rescue operations throughout the night. Meanwhile, Surat Chief Fire Officer Basant Pareek said that seven bodies have been recovered in the search operation that lasted overnight. The police said that the rescue operation is going on, there is a possibility that many people are still trapped inside. It is being told that this was an old building, which had become dilapidated and suddenly collapsed. There were 35 rooms in this six-storey building, in which five to seven families were living risking their lives. According to the information, the owner of this entire building is a foreign woman and someone used to rent rooms here.
