Breaking: Massive Gas Leak and Fire After LPG Tanker Collides with Mini Bus in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra
A major accident occurred in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district near the Bav River, where an LPG tanker collided with a mini bus, resulting in a massive gas leak and fire outbreak. The impact of the collision caused gas to leak uncontrollably, sparking fires in nearby houses and a gaushala (cowshed). The flames also spread to a mango orchard, damaging stored produce. Two cars and multiple homes have been destroyed in the blaze. The Mumbai-Goa Highway has been completely shut down as a precaution, with authorities focusing on containing the leak. Rescue teams and fire brigade units are on the scene, but as of now, the gas leak remains uncontrolled. Local residents have been evacuated from the affected areas to prevent further casualties. Twelve individuals traveling in the mini bus have sustained injuries and have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Efforts are underway to rescue animals from the burning gaushala. Experts have been called in to manage the hazardous situation, and emergency teams are working relentlessly to bring the gas leak under control. The situation remains critical, and traffic disruptions are expected to worsen due to the weekend rush on the Mumbai-Goa Highway.
