View In AppToday, on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Emergency, the BJP is commemorating the "Dark Days of Democracy" across the country in protest. In Rajasthan, the BJP has planned extensive events to capitalize on 'Emergency' Day. The party is preparing to criticize the Congress by holding seminars across the state.
Sources indicate that the BJP is aiming to challenge the Congress on the issue of 'saving the Constitution' through the context of the Emergency. State BJP General Secretary Shravan Singh Bagri stated that the BJP will observe June 25 as the black day of Indian democracy. On June 25, 1975, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi declared a state of emergency. The BJP respects the Constitution, while the Congress party has repeatedly undermined it. A glaring example of this is the Emergency.
To mark the occasion, the BJP will organize discussion seminars at all district headquarters across the state.
