Bikaner News: Patients in govt hospitals complain of lack of arrangements to cope with the searing heat

With Bikaner city in Rajasthan gripped with a severe heatwave condition, patients admitted to government hospitals are complaining of lack of arrangements for them to cope with the searing heat. Many patients and their attendants at the hospital say, despite the intense heatwave conditions in the city, the hospital authorities are not providing them with basic arrangements like a proper fan.
"In the morning we were allotted this bed. There is no provision of a fan, I am using a hand fan since the morning. We are facing a lot of problems. He is such a serious patient. It is very difficult," says Attendant of Patient. Attendants of many patients say, due to lack of arrangements, they are forced to arrange personal coolers and fans.Hospital authorities however, dismiss these allegations. They say, despite such high temperatures, they have made adequate arrangements for the comfort of patients. Temperatures in Bikaner city have crossed the 45 degrees celsius mark in the last couple of days and there is no respite predicted from the heatwave in the coming few days.
