Bihar Elections: Rabri Devi Questions PM Modi And Amit Shah’s Frequent Visits, Calls Cash Transfers “Bribe”

Following the announcement of the Bihar Assembly elections, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi made her first statement, launching a sharp attack on the BJP. She questioned why Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah were visiting Bihar repeatedly if the state had truly developed. Rabri Devi claimed that the election results would be favorable for her party and alleged that ₹1,01,000 was being deposited into voters’ accounts as open bribery by the government. She accused the ruling party of attempting to influence voters ahead of the polls and said the Election Commission’s credibility was being tested. Meanwhile, the opposition has revived discussions about law and order issues during her tenure, which the BJP often highlights in its campaigns. Rabri Devi’s remarks have intensified the political debate, setting the stage for a heated and high-stakes election battle in Bihar.
