Attendees of Tablighi Jamaat in Delhi under quarantine

Tablighi Jamaat which held a congregation in Nizamuddin here, defying the warning of authorities in mid-March. The congregation resulted in the spread of Covid-19 among many people who attended it. A religious congregation in the heart of Delhi is now being suspected by officials as having caused the proliferation of COVID-19 cases in several parts of the country. A staggering 303 volunteers of the Tablighi Jamaat had symptoms of COVID-19, the home ministry said in a statement on March 31.
