Hundreds of people have become homeless in the state. The water level of the Brahmaputra and 9 other rivers is flowing above the danger mark in Nematighat, Tezpur, Dhubri and Goalpara. State Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the water level of the rivers is gradually decreasing. 577 relief camps have been set up. Due to the flood, 577 relief camps have been set up in 27 districts in the state. At present, more than 5,26,000 people have taken shelter in the relief camps.
