Assam along with states/UT like West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Pudducherry is set to know the results of its assembly election as the five-year term of the state assembly is set to expire on May 31, 2021.
The Bhartiya Janata Party government which rules Assam had a good chance of retaining power in the state. The saffron party is confident of winning with 100 plus seats in the 126-member assembly.
