Colonel Ashutosh Sharma was martyred in the Handwara encounter with the terrorists. He was leading the operation. When the mortal remains of Colonel were taken to his village in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr, people raised slogans like Jai Hind for the efforts. His wife revealed that she had a word with Colonel on May 1 after which he left for the operation
