Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat have been alerted from the IMD of heavy rainfalls. The states are already in distress due to major flooding in parts of the cities. The water levels of the rivers and lakes have increased causing further damage in low-lying areas.

Maharashtra has received a red alert in-lieu of heavy rainfall in the state.
