Gyanvapi Case: Politics intensifies as Akhilesh Yadav hits BJP over mosque | Ghanti Bajao

The Varanasi administration has sealed the area of the Gyanvapi Masjid that housed the reservoir, in which a Shivling was reported to have been discovered during a survey. Officials on Wednesday, May 18, made the wazukhana (ablution area) off-limits to all by placing locks on the doors that lead to the area. Hearing the Gyanvapi mosque case on Tuesday, the Supreme Court ordered the Varanasi district magistrate to ensure the area where a shivling was purportedly found is protected without obstructing the Muslim community's right to worship. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Samajwadi PArty's leader Akhilesh Yadav spar with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the Gyanvapi masjid dispute.
