Earthquake tremors felt in Delhi-NCR

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the epicentre of the earthquake was in East Delhi and it measured 3.5 on the Richter scale. Also, the epicentre was only 6.5km beneath the earth's surface. An earthquake is the shaking of the surface of the Earth resulting from a sudden release of energy in the Earth's lithosphere that creates seismic waves.
