Delhi: Rajya Sabha too passes NCT Bill amid opposition walkout

The Rajya Sabha on Wednesday approved a bill giving primacy to Delhi's Lieutenant Governor (L-G) over the elected government. The clearance led to massive uproar by the opposition in Rajya Sabha with members of several parties staging a walk out of the House. According to the GNCTD bill, the Lieutenant Governor will now have more power than the elected government in Delhi.
