"CRPF has shot dead 4 people in Sitalkuchi (Cooch Behar) today. There was another death in the morning. CRPF is not my enemy but there's a conspiracy going around under the instruction of the Home Minister and today's incident is proof,": West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee.

Prime Minister Modi expressed grief and condolences over the Cooch Behar incident during his Silhuri rally today and demanded EC take strict action and immediate investigation. On the other hand, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee alleged the BJP of the violence.
