Aspirants in Ballia are protesting against the Agnipath scheme. They are taking a stand against this scheme by setting trains and tyres on fire. They are ransacking train stations and protesting on railway tracks. The protestors also vandalized government properties to establish their anger against this scheme.

The Agnipath scheme was introduced by the Ministry of Defence to encourage the younger generation to enrol in the Indian Armed Forces.
