Mumbai is witnessing incessant rains marking the arrival of monsoon in the region. The city has been facing continuous rains for 48 hours which has slowed down the pace of the city also causing the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway to remain shut. Officer-goers faced a harrowing time as water-logging at several places slowed movement of suburban trains and vehicles on roads. In Mumbai, a huge part of a compound caved-in at Antop Hill area in Wadala. Around 15 cars were damaged with some vehicles getting buried under the debris, an official of the BMC's disaster management cell told news agency PTI. No casualty was reported in the incident, he said.
