Mumbai: 5,700 kids create Guinness record by lighting solar lamps at IIT-Bombay

More than 5,000 students from different schools in Mumbai entered Guinness World Records on Tuesday for lighting the maximum number of LED solar lamps simultaneously.

At IIT-Bombay on 2nd October which marked the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi organised a massive workshop on solar energy. Over 1.25 lakh students from 850 schools from all over the nation participated in this workshop.

The engineering students taught the school kids about making of the solar lamps.
