Voting to elect new Assemblies in Madhya Pradesh would be held on November 28 and the counting of votes would take place on December 11. MP is currently ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party with Shivraj Singh Chouhan as its Chief Minister. The term for the 230-member Madhya Pradesh Assembly expires on January 7, 2019. In the previous election BJP bagged 165 seats while the Congress won 58. Mayawati’s BSP has four seats and others have three seats. CM Shivraj is seeking fourth consecutive term in office.
