Kashmir on boil over rape of 3-year-old in Bandipore, schools shut
Normal life was affected in the city on Monday due to a strike called by a religious-cum-separatist organisation against the alleged rape of a three-year-old girl in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Most schools, shops and other business establishments in the city remained shut due to the strike, officials said.
The girl was allegedly raped in Sumbal area of Bandipora district, prompting the Jammu and Kashmir Police to constitute a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the incident.
