Average of exit polls conducted by five channels, predicts less vote share but more seats for the BJP
After a high-intensity campaign for Karnataka Assembly elections 2018, the state voted to elect a new House Saturday. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah-led Congress and the BJP are the main contenders for power. However, most pre-poll surveys have predicted a fractured mandate and suggested that former prime minister H D Deve Gowda's JD(S) may play the kingmaker's role.
