Karnal: Guest teachers protest against Haryana CM Khattar

For the past 20 days in Haryana's Karnal, guest teachers of the state have been sitting on a dharna demanding regularization and equal pay for equal work.
Sometimes they burn effigies of local MLAs at the district level, they perform at district headquarters, and sometimes in the CM's home district Karnal, guest teachers from all over the state unite and has sit on dharna with their demands.
In Karnal, for the last 3 weeks, guest teachers have been on strike to fulfill their demand while one teacher is on fast unto death. These teachers have been pleading with their demands for years, governments have changed but the circumstances of these guest teachers have not changed. In 2014 assembly elections, BJP had promised in its election manifesto to regularize guest teachers and pay equal pay for the work. But even after 5 years, guest teachers have not been regularized nor have been given equal pay.
