India’s anti-satellite (ASAT) missile test created 400 pieces of debris

The head of NASA on Tuesday confirmed that India’s anti-satellite (ASAT) missile test hit target in lower earth orbit and created debris. Earlier, PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday had announced another feather in India’s cap as the country registered its name in the elite space power list. India became the only fourth country to demonstrate Anti Satellite capabilities, in a milestone moment for India’s “Mission Shakti”.
