Radha Krishna Mathur is a retired 1977 batch IAS officer of Tripura cadre who has been appointed as the first Lieutenant Governor of the union territory of Ladakh. He retired as the Chief Information Commissioner of India in November 2018. ''I would try to develop areas keeping in mind the priority and views of residents. Tourism is a major area that needs to be developed'', says R. K. Mathur, Lt. Governor of Ladakh. The people of Ladakh, comprising a mix of Buddhists and Shia Muslims, had been frowning that the region could not see development because their destiny was linked to Kashmir.
