Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal today termed the Supreme Court verdict as "unfortunate" and said the judgment is against the people of Delhi and the constitution of the country. Kejriwal’s sharp reaction came after the Supreme Court judgment delivered a split verdict on who controls services in the National Capital Territory.
“If a government can't even transfer its officers, how is it supposed to function? The party that has 67 seats doesn't have the rights but the party who won 3 seats has those rights. What kind of a democracy is this,” he questioned at a press briefing.
