Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh raised a question on 'country's communal conflicts' and expressed his views on 'India not being able to make it to the World Cup'. Taking a cue from the FIFA World Cup 2018 final clash between Croatia and France, the cricketer took to Twitter and highlighted that the issue of 'conflicts between members of Hindu and Muslim communities in the country'. He posed the question that despite having a population of 135 crores India is not competing at the World Cup while Croatia, a country with a mere 50 lakh population stand on the cusp of glory.
Using a hashtag ‘soch badlo desh badlega (change your thinking, the country will change)’, he tried to drive across the point. Singh's tweet came ahead of the FIFA final in which he wrote that Croatia, a country of roughly fifty lakh will play the FIFA World Cup final and we a country of 135 crore are playing Hindu and Muslim among us. He encouraged his fans and masses to 'change the thinking' following which 'the country will also change'.
