Death toll reaches 17 due to massive fire in Delhi's Karol Bagh hotel

A massive fire broke out in Delhi’s Karol Bagh in the early hours on Tuesday. As of now, the fire department reported that seventeen people including a child have been killed in the Arpit Palace Hotel fire which broke at 4 am. It is said that the blaze was reported on the second to the fourth floor were engulfed. The basement and ground floor were unaffected.

Thirteen seriously injured were sent to the nearby RML Hospital and all were declared dead. Five people were sent to Lady Hardinge hospital where two were declared dead. A total of 35 people have been rescued by the fire department.
 


A total of 27 fire tenders were sent to the spot and search operation is underway at the hotel.
