The Public Works Department on Thursday handed over a report on government bungalow vacated by former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to ‘Rajya Sampati Vibhag,’ and also the calculated damage done to the house.
As per the report, damages worth Rs 10lakh were done allegedly by former CM to his 4, Vikramaditya Marg residence.
Akhilesh vacated the house a few days ago after the Supreme Court ordered that former chief ministers of the state could not keep government accommodation, after which, charges started trading between ruling BJP government and SP Chief.
Hitting out at Akhilesh, BJP accused him of leaving the house with broken air conditioner ducts, broken taps, including other damages.
"It's a conspiracy of the BJP after its humiliating defeat in by-elections in Gorakhpur, Phulpur, Kairana and Noorpur. It is rattled after these repeated defeats. I want to tell them (BJP) that the same officers will find out something when you (BJP) leave your house. They might come out with a 'chilam' he said.
"If I am told about missing things, I will return the items immediately. Someone is saying Rs 42 crore was spent on the house, some say there was a swimming pool, which I filled before leaving the premises. I am ready to go there again. Show me where the pool is," he said.
