BJP’s Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah faces tough challenge from Cong's Pritam Singh in Tehri Garhwal

Tehri Garhwal is one of the largest districts in the hill state of Uttarakhand, India. Its administrative headquarters is at New Tehri Town. The district has a population of 618, 931, a 2.35% increase over the previous decade.  The 2019 Indian general election is scheduled to be held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019 to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha. The counting of votes will be conducted on 23 May, and on the same day the results will be declared.
