Bhopal: Girl held hostage by jilted lover rescued, sent for medical treatment

A 30-year-old woman who had been kept hostage at gunpoint inside her own home in Bhopal by a man who claimed to be her lover was rescued by police after hours of struggle, amid a series of threatening by the kidnapper. The victim has been rushed to hospital.

In a display of extraordinary nerve in broad daylight, a fanatic lover of a girl had kept her hostage in her own house in Bhopal even when the police had surrounded the house. She was however rescued after an operation that continued for 12 hours and the accused was arrested.
