'Anekta Mein Hi Ekta Sambhav Hai', says Cong leader Salman Khurshid on UCC

The Supreme Court on Friday said that the makers of the Constitution had hoped and expected that the state shall endeavour to secure for the citizens a Uniform Civil Code throughout the territory of India, but till date, no action has been taken on this.

Salman Khurshid reacted on it and said, The statement was natural. The supreme court has not made any statements about the future prospects . All they want to say is that the government should has some duties and that has to be fulfilled. On one hand the constitution of India provided very citizen of the country the prerogative practice their rights and follow the path of their choice of religion. The government should make it clear on how to go about it.  Our country is diverse and we have Hindi as our language. The aim of country has always been to diverse. Once there was also a discussion held on a 3 language formulae. If we believe that Hindi is a good language then we should encourage the use of it. But the way unity is being jeopardized, it very disheartening. What Amit Shah said, is clear upfront. It is his duty to keep the language safe and secure and that is what he is doing. A dialogue should be held upon it
