Ananth Kumar passes away at 59 in Bengaluru

Union minister Ananth Kumar passed away at 59 at his residence in Bengaluru. He was undergoing treatment of Cancer at Shankara Cancer Hospital in Bengaluru. After severe infection, Ananth Kumar was on ventilator for past few days. He was diaganosed with Cancer before Karnataka Assembly polls. PM Modi expressed grief via tweet. He wrote "Extremely saddened by the passing away of my valued colleague and friend, Shri Ananth Kumar Ji. He was a remarkable leader, who entered public life at a young age and went on to serve society with utmost diligence and compassion. He will always be remembered for his good work."
