50 Top News: AAP needs introspection; not joining any other party: Ashish Khetan
In a span of 7 days, the Aam Aadmi Party was jolted by the exits of two of its prominent leaders. Ashutosh’s departure on Independence Day was followed by Ashish Khetan’s a week later.
Khetan, a founding member of the party, has quit to focus on legal practice. In a brief chat with ABP News, Khetan steered clear from inculpating the party leadership for his exit. However, he believed the party does require introspection.
On being asked why he chose the legal profession to bring about a change after making a firm impression in the field of journalism and politics, Khetan said, "The road to change is difficult and gradual. After contemplating for a very long time I decided, I won’t be able to pursue electoral politics. I had self-doubts over my political journey which I conveyed to my colleagues a year ago.”
