Many parts of Northwest India are experiencing Cold Wave conditions since last one week or so. Minimum temperatures soared to their lowest and people across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh saw the worst of winters.
Now, due to the approach of a fresh Western Disturbance, the cold northerly winds will be soon replaced by relatively warmer winds from south-east direction. Minimum temperatures are also expected to increase by one to two degree Celsius by the next 24 hours, thus leading to abatement of Cold Wave conditions from many parts of Northwest India. In fact, last 24 hours have already recorded increase in night temperatures.
