The story of Shaheen Bagh begins 3-4 days after the passing of CAA Bill. On the morning of 15 December 2019, there was a road blockage in Shaheenbagh. Earlier, on 13 December 2019, in Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi Police had lathi-charged and used tear gas on the protesting students. After which from the central library, to the CCTV footage, everything garnered a lot of attention in mainstream media.
