In the year 2018, an army officer's 13-year-old girl was gang raped in Rohtak. According to the girl's father, who was an army officer, this crime was committed with a sense of revenge. The girl also belongs to a lower caste where many more such cases of caste based crimes against women are getting reported increasingly, six such rape cases were reported in Madhya Pradesh where all the victims belonged to a lower caste.
