733 districts have been divided into red and green zones. These are going to be monitored every week and according to the changes in the number of cases, the areas will be reassigned as a different zone. Additional restrictions have been enforced on the Red and Orange zones. The zones have been demarcated according to districts which means that an entire state is not completely green or a red zone. An example is Maharashtra with the highest number of active cases where there are 12 red zone, 16 orange zones, and 6 green zones districts. Gujarat has 9 red zones, 19 orange zones, and 5 green zones. Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Lakshadweep, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Pudducherry, and Tripura does not have a single red zone.
