Winter chill grips Kashmir valley at the time of New Year | Ground Report

Winter chill has gripped the Kashmir valley at the time of new year celebrations. Mountains in Uttarakhand are also facing freezing temperatures. Apart from the mountains, even the plains of North India are facing bone-chilling cold weather. The surface of Dal Lake in Srinagar has frozen. With temperatures dropping to minus 6.5 degrees Celsius, Srinagar recorded the coldest night of the season, the meteorological office said on Monday.
