The Charanjit Singh Channi government of Punjab has made an important announcement to stop sand mafia. Channi said that the price of sand in Punjab has been fixed at Rs.5 50 paise. All expenses will also be included in this price. But even after the announcement of the government, the prices of sand were not reduced.
