In the Hathras case, District Magistrate (DM) Praveen Kumar's video is going viral on social media. He was seen indirectly threatening the family of the victim as he said that the media personnel will not remain in the village forever but the administration will.

On the other hand, ADG Prashant Kumar said that the rape was not confirmed in the case as the postmortem report stated that neck injury killed the girl.
