Momos, a type of steamed filled dumpling that originated in Tibet has become extremely popular in India too, and can be found in any city or town. Savouring a plate of hot steaming momos in the mountains is a different experience altogether. Buranskhanda village in Uttarakhand’s Dhanaulti, was lucky after Youtuber Ashwani Thapa hosted a massive momo party for 500 people last month.
He prepared 1,800 - 2,000 dumplings from Dehradun to treat the villagers. He also arranged the paperware like plates and glasses for the momo party. A DJ along with some games was also organised to keep the guests entertained.
Unfortunately, it started to rain and the YouTuber was about to cancel the party assuming that no one would turn up. But son people turned up. Incidentally it was Father's Day, so the YouTuber cut a big cake along with the elders present there.
“I Invited 500 People for a MOMO Party . ( BUT IT RAINED),” reads the caption of the video that has gone viral.
