YouTuber Fidias Panayiotou, widely recognised for his humorous online content and for hugging billionaire Elon Musk earlier this year is receiving flak from social media users for entering the Bengaluru Metro without a ticket. A video shared online by the Cyprus based content creator shows him entering and exiting the metro station without a ticket with ease and being stopped by the security.
"How To Sneak Into The Indian Metro," reads the caption shared by Panayiotou on the microblogging site X, formerly Twitter.
The video opens to show the YouTuber asking people at the metro station whether they believe he can enter without paying to which the commuters reply in negative. However, Panayiotou jump over the barriers and enters the platform without a valid ticket or token. He then approaches the same commuters again who tell him that getting out of the station would be difficult. He proves them wrong by hopping over the ticket-checking counter without any guards present there.
Since being shared the video has garnered close to 9,000 views, and the comments box is filled with varied reactions.
One user on seeing the post sarcastically commented, "This is why, I love my country bcoz we are free to do whatever we want until police don't catch us."
While another appealing to the Bengaluru police to take action wrote, "@cpronammametro @BlrCityPolice pls make note. So called influencer traveling without a ticket."
A third surprised by how he got away wrote, "This is so shameful."
