The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) recently announced the withdrawal of Rs 2,000 notes from circulation and fixed September 30 as the last date to deposit them in ones bank account. However, it said that the note will still remain legal tender. The announcement caused a frenzy and people rushed to use the bank note in the market by purchasing goods. Several social media users complained of petrol pumps and shopkeepers refusing to take the Rs 2,000 notes from them.
