Pictures of a woman constable in Gujarat taking care of an infant while the mother was writing the Gujarat High Court's Peon Recruitment examination at Odhav on Sunday has gone viral on social media. Ahmedabad Police took to the microblogging site Twitter to share pics of Constable Daya Ben, holding and playing with the 6-month-old baby who was crying inconsolably. Just before the exams started, the woman constable told the mother she would take care of her son while she gave the exam.
''Daya, a woman police constable, came to the aid of a mother who was taking her exams in Odhav, Ahmedabad. The constable stepped in when the infant started crying, allowing the mother to continue her exams without worrying about the child," read the caption of the post when loosely translated from Gujarati.
The pictures after being shared on social media immediately went viral. The post has so far garnered 144k views, 2,855 likes and tons of comments.
