Living in a metropolitan city like Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai is always a costly affair. From room rent to groceries to medical facilities almost everything is expensive. So, what is the ideal annual salary that one thinks is enough to survive in such cities? Well, it is a debatable topic and a woman has just done that. Dipali Sharma took to Twitter to ask whether a 40 LPA (lakh per annum) salary is sufficient to exist in India or not, triggering a heated debate online.

The post after being shared has over 1.1 million views. People had a diverse range of emotions, with some gasping at the huge amount mentioned in the tweet by Dipali to others laughing and resorting to memes.

"No, if u're asking for it otherwise for a normal lifestyle it's more than enough," wrote another user.
While another commented, "Nah man atleast 3.6cr per annum with company car, a house."
