We have sometimes come across incidences where people gatecrash weddings but are allowed to enjoy the party after being caught. However, an MBA student from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh wasn't that lucky as he was forced to wash the plates after he gatecrashed the wedding in Bhopal. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

In the clip shared on the micro-blogging site Twitter, the student, whose face has been censored, scrubs dishes on camera. While a man is heard asking him, “Do you know the punishment of having free food?” He adds, “Now wash the utensils properly as you do at your house."

The man then asks the student how he feels washing the plates to which he replies “Sir free me khaana khaya hai, ab kuch toh karna padega (Sir I ate the food for free so have to do something).”

The student lives in Jabalpur and is pursuing MBA course in Bhopal.

“You are doing MBA and your parents don’t send money? You are earning a bad name for Jabalpur,” the man is heard telling him.

As soon as the video of the incident was posted on social media, many users said it is common for students to do such things. While some weren't happy the man who humiliated the student and forced him to wash the dishes.

"This is wrong. The boy didn't deserve that. Agreed that he shouldn't not showed up in an uninvited party. But that wasn't how it should have ended up just for eating a plate of food for free. Is that what Atithi Devo Bhava truly means to them?" one of the user tweeted.

While another differed wrote, "Nothing wrong, people should know the difference between langar(Public) and marriage function (private)."
