New Delhi: Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday showered his praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and shared a video on his Koo saying, "Not without reason is he called Pradhan Sevak".
In a now-viral video shared by Union Minister, PM Modi can be seen touching the feet of Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Unnao district president Awadhesh Katiyar with a heartfelt gesture during a public campaign in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao on Sunday.
As PM Modi arrived at the rally for the Uttar Pradesh elections, BJP's UP chief Swatantra Dev Singh and BJP's Unnao district president Awadhesh Katiyar were asked to present an idol of Lord Ram to the PM, following which the incident took place.
When PM came on the stage, he was being welcomed by all the leaders present on the stage. Meanwhile, Unnao BJP District President Awadhesh Katiyar was also present on the stage. He presented the statue of Lord Shri Ram to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After this, he tried to touch PM's feet. Seeing him doing this, PM immediately stopped him and PM in return touched Awadhesh Katiyar's feet.
After this incident, the video is going viral on the internet and many BJP leaders are showering their praise on PM Modi.
As it can be seen in the video that this is not the first time that PM Modi is treating people in his own way. The video also shows various incidents where he can be seen bowing down in front of people on various occasions and paying them respect.
Meanwhile, while addressing a poll rally in Unnao, PM Modi slammed Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.
"You must have seen, the father (Mulayam Singh Yadav) who was pushed from the stage was humiliated and the party was captured, he (Akhilesh) had to plead to him for saving the seat (Karhal)," PM Modi was quoted saying.
The assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh are being held in seven phases, and will conclude on March 7.
