A video showcasing a Zomato delivery agent eating food from a plastic bag surfaced on social media last week. Soon after it was shared the video went viral with netizens expressing disappointment at the situation. In the clip the man wearing a Zomato t-shirt and carrying a delivery bag can be seen eating hastily, (probably dal, chawal) from a plastic bag while standing alone near his motorcycle.
The viral video was shared by IAS officer Awanish Sharan on his official Twitter handle. "This season, take care of them too, "read the caption of the post.
After seeing the video, Twitter users expressed disappointment at the condition of the Zomato delivery agent.
Since being shared the video has amassed over 3 lakh views and 10,000 likes. Many people commented on the video, expressing their sadness and dissatisfaction on the issue.
"This is the reason when I ordered any thing I always order 2 one for me and other for the guy who delivers at my place," commented one user on the post.
"Irony of life. Be grateful for what you have and once you have enough help the needy," wrote another user.
"This breaks my heart. I hope they are given adequate breaks for lunch and dinner. I thought Swiggy and Zomato had these break rooms for them to relax, sit and eat in diff places," commented a third.
