An Indian man has shared a video that shows empty packets of tobacco brands 'Chani Khaini' and 'Udta Panchi' littered around on the ground in the UK. "Tag Karo Apne Chaini Khaini Vale friend ko (Tag your friends who eat Chaini Kahini)," Instagram user Anurag Choudhary wrote on the video.
"I was exploring around in the UK and who says that you don’t get anything in this country," Choudhary said in his video as he goes on to show the empty packets.
As the video went viral, many people expressed their anger over the litter in a foreign country. A user wrote, "Same mentality, different country." "Many Indians bring over their Indian habits when they go overseas. Incorrigible," a user wrote, while another commented, "Since you’ve already picked it up, at least throw it in the bin instead of dropping it back again!"
Indians Were Seen Passing 'Theplas' During Kenya Jungle Safari
Earlier this year, a social media post by an Indian writer about Indian tourists' behaviour in a foreign land went viral. The woman had posted a video of a man trying to touch a lion during a jungle safari in Kenya.
"Oh Indian travellers, while in any other country, don’t forget that you represent all 1,441,303,328 citizens of Bharat & any uncouth, uncivilized behaviour/ activity of yours belittles us all!" Meenakshi Sharan wrote in the post and shared videos from the safari.
Sharan narrated how Indians were passing 'theplas' and 'chaklis' across to their groups in other vehicles, littering leftovers and wrappers.
"In Kenya on the safari, we’ve been encountering many Indians behaving irresponsibly- from getting off the jeeps for reels & selfies to climbing atop the jeep (strictly not permitted), yelling on top of their voices passing weird statements, to even touching the animals putting the lives of people as well as animals in danger...If the animal reacts, it's 'mauling' the humans, & if he does react, he'll be shot dead in a minute!"
